DAR ES SALAAM
Departure: 07:00 – Ferry from Stone Town, Zanzibar
Your day begins with an early morning ferry crossing to Dar es Salaam. During the journey you can purchase tea, coffee and light snacks on board. As our guest, you will also receive rice muffin and fresh banana for the trip. Upon arrival at approximately 08:40, we begin our walking tour at the beautiful St. Joseph’s Cathedral, one of the city’s most iconic historical landmarks. From there, we continue to the peaceful Botanical Garden, home to an impressive collection of tropical trees, each with its own fascinating story. Just a short walk away is the National Museum of Tanzania, where we spend about an hour discovering the country’s rich history, cultures and remarkable archaeological treasures.
Around 11:00, we drive to Makumbusho Village Museum, one of Tanzania’s most unique cultural attractions. Here you can explore traditional homes representing the country’s diverse ethnic groups, learn about local customs, dance and browse a wonderful selection of authentic handmade souvenirs.
By 13:00, we arrive at the legendary Coco Beach, where you will have approximately two hours of free time. Relax by the Indian Ocean, enjoy lunch at one of the local restaurants (not included), stroll along the beach, or simply soak up the vibrant atmosphere that makes Coco Beach a favourite gathering place for locals.At 16:00, we board the last ferry back to Zanzibar.
Arrival in Stone Town: approximately 17:40.We hope you have enjoyed discovering Tanzania’s vibrant commercial capital and return home with unforgettable memories.
